Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 June 2026
William Phillips built the AA Speakers app as a commercial app for iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use AA Speakers.
By using AA Speakers, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Information I Collect
AA Speakers does not require you to create an account, provide your name, or provide your email address in order to use the app.
Some information is stored locally on your device to provide app features, including favourite talks, listening history, saved playback positions, Continue Listening progress, bookmarks, downloaded audio files, app settings, and preferences.
This locally stored information is used to provide the app's features and is not directly collected by me from your device.
Subscriptions and Purchases
AA Speakers may offer auto-renewable subscriptions and other purchase-related features through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Purchases and subscription billing are processed by the relevant app store platform. I do not receive or store your payment card details.
The app uses RevenueCat to help manage subscription status, purchase entitlements, introductory offers, free trials, and restore purchases. RevenueCat may process purchase-related information needed to determine whether Premium access is active, such as app user identifiers, transaction identifiers, product identifiers, subscription status, purchase dates, renewal dates, cancellation status, and related information provided by Apple or Google.
Analytics and Crash Reporting
AA Speakers uses third-party services to help understand app usage, improve reliability, and diagnose errors.
These services may collect information such as device information, operating system version, app version, app interactions, crash logs, diagnostic information, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP address, and other technical information.
The app currently uses Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and RevenueCat. These third-party services process information according to their own privacy policies.
Network Requests and Audio Content
AA Speakers connects to the internet to load the speaker catalogue, stream audio, refresh available content, check subscription access, and support certain app features.
When your device connects to servers or third-party services over the internet, technical information such as your IP address and request information may be processed as part of normal network communication.
Downloads and Offline Listening
If you choose to download talks for offline listening, audio files are stored on your device. You can remove downloaded audio within the app or by deleting the app from your device.
Log Data
If the app encounters an error or crash, diagnostic data may be collected through third-party crash reporting tools. This may include technical information such as device type, operating system version, app state at the time of the error, timestamps, and crash details. This information is used to identify and fix problems.
Cookies
AA Speakers does not use browser cookies directly within the main app experience.
However, third-party services or external websites opened from the app may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own privacy policies.
Third-Party Services
AA Speakers may use third-party services to provide app functionality, analytics, crash reporting, subscription management, sharing, and external links.
These third parties may process information only as needed to provide their services and according to their own privacy policies.
External Links
AA Speakers may include links to external websites or services, such as privacy information, app store pages, or shared content.
If you open an external link, you will be directed to a third-party site or service that is not operated by me. I am not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party websites or services.
Data Retention
Information stored locally in the app remains on your device until you delete it, clear it using app controls where available, or uninstall the app.
Information processed by third-party services is retained according to the policies and settings of those service providers.
Security
I value your privacy and take reasonable steps to use trusted services and commercially acceptable methods to protect information. However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Children's Privacy
AA Speakers is not directed to children under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information in relation to the app, please contact me so I can review the situation and take appropriate action.
Your Choices
You can control some app data directly within AA Speakers, including removing downloads, clearing favourites, clearing listening history, clearing listening progress, and deleting bookmarks where available.
You can also manage or cancel subscriptions through the subscription management tools provided by the Apple App Store or Google Play.
You can limit analytics or tracking through the privacy settings available on your device and app store account, where supported by iOS, Android, Apple, or Google.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted with an updated date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
